Lead by qualified Mountain Leader Adrian Conchie, you will be guided on the stunning Cnicht route in the Moelwynion mountain range, beginning in the peaceful village of Croesor. Firstly heading up to the summit of the distinctive cone-shaped mountain of Cnicht (689m / 2,261ft), we’ll then continue along its north ridge and around the valley to the mountain of Moelwyn Mawr. You’ll also get to visit the historic old slate quarries at Rhosydd en-route, where we’ll stop for lunch and you’ll see a multitude of abandoned quarrymen’s cottages (even a whole street) in the middle of the mountains!
